York Acorn control opening weekend of York and District Road League
DEBUTANTS Charlotte and Erin Bush helped boost York Acorn Running Club to a dominant display in the opening fixture of the 2025 York and District Road League season at Tadcaster while Dom Carter staked a strong claim to become the new men’s champion.
The sisters from Tamworth delivered gold and bronze medals with 10k times of 38:43 for Charlotte – who was 28th overall – and 40:28 for Erin in the ladies’ senior stakes as 482 runners endured a sweltering start to the campaign on Tuesday evening.
