Will Manchester United sack Ruben Amorim if they lose Europa League final? Here's what report says

Manchester United currently are 17th on the Premier League table and are set for their worst finish in half a century the way things stand. And it remains to be seen if the 20-time champions persist with manager Ruben Amorim should they lose the Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday.

Manchester United haven’t really experienced a revival of fortunes in the Premier League since Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim took charge of the side in November after a successful stint with Sporting CP. The ‘Red Devils’ had registered their worst finish in the Premier League era under Erik Ten Hag last year, finishing 8th and only qualifying for Europe after winning the FA Cup with a victory over Manchester City in the final.

They’re set for a new low this season with the 20-time English top-flight champions currently occupying the 16th spot with just one game to go. And even if they win their final game, against Aston Villa on Sunday and Wolves and Aston Villa lose their matches, United will finish no higher than 13th.

Amorim, thus, might end up becoming the face of United’s worst finish in Premier League history even if he wasn’t in charge for the entire duration, with the United management having given Ten Hag three months to fix the sinking ship before finally releasing him on 28 October.
