Manchester United midfielder and captain Bruno Fernandes has been in excellent form this season, scoring 19 goals and claiming 18 assists so far including a brace in the club’s 3-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao in the first leg of the Europa League semi-final meeting last week.
Saudi Pro League (SPL) clubs have been signing some of the biggest names in the world of football in recent years, with Cristiano Ronaldo’s decision to join Al-Nassr after parting ways with Manchester United leading to a wave of arrivals from top European clubs – from Neymar and Karim Benzema to former Liverpool teammates Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
Current SPL champions Al Hilal, who are also the most successful team in Saudi top-flight history with 19 titles, currently have their eyes set on Manchester United midfielder and captain Bruno Fernandes, describing the Portuguese star as “one of the top players in the world”.
Fernandes has been a key member of the United setup since joining the side Portuguese club Sporting CP in January 2020. He was appointed club captain ahead of the 2023-24 season and has held the position ever since.
