Tiger Woods put on notice as son Charlie suffers major US Open issue

Charlie Woods, the son of legendary golf player Tiger Woods, has failed to qualify for this year’s US Open on his second attempt. The 16-year-old was left disappointed after entering qualifying for the major championship, which will take place at Oakmont in Pennsylvania in June.
Woods was among more than 10,000 players battling to book a spot at the event during a regional qualifying event at Wellington Golf Club in Florida on Thursday. However, the teenager shot three over par and failed to make the cut. The hopefuls were required to finish in four-under-par to progress to the next stage, meaning he was seven shots away from making the grade.
