Tennis LIVE: Carlos Alcaraz brutally trolled in Rome as Coco Gauff shows true colours

It’s the final day of the Italian Open, which means a new men’s singles champion will be crowned this afternoon. Jannik Sinner is the firm favourite but will need to get past Carlos Alcaraz in order to land the trophy. There is plenty of pressure on Sinner, who will be backed by the home crowd in Rome as he aims to win his first title since returning from a three-month suspension.
Alcaraz, meanwhile, won the Monte-Carlo Masters last month and will be eyeing more silverware to add to his growing collection. It could be the last match he plays before the French Open, which is due to begin in just over a week. Whoever takes victory will be full of confidence ahead of Roland Garros, while the loser will have to lick their wounds and go again in Paris.
