Six Nations 2026 fixtures in full as major change made to schedule with Thursday match

The 2026 Six Nations fixtures have been announced and there is a historic change to the schedule. Since their introduction in 2009, only France and Wales have hosted Friday night matches in the Six Nations. However, with broadcasters seemingly favouring these slots, this year’s tournament will see Ireland hosting their first Friday night match in their round 4 encounter with Wales at the Aviva Stadium.
Given France’s affinity for Friday night games, demonstrated by their hosting of Warren Gatland’s team in Paris to kick off this year’s tournament, it’s no surprise they’ve been chosen to host the tournament’s first-ever Thursday night match. The tournament will commence with an 8.10pm showdown between France and Ireland on Thursday, February 5.
