No pressure on York Valkyrie in Challenge Cup semi-final
YORK Valkyrie will hope to make it third time lucky when they take on St Helens for a place at Wembley in their Women’s Challenge Cup semi-final tomorrow afternoon – but Lindsay Anfield is putting no pressure on her new-look side to do so.
In 2023 Faye Gaskin’s last-gasp drop-goal broke York hearts to send Saints through to the first final held under the famous arch, whilst last year their illness-ravaged side were well beaten by the Merseyside club in Doncaster.
