Jamie Carragher believes that Mikel Arteta is sounding “more like a fan than a manager” after he delivered another frustrated interview following Arsenal’s draw at Liverpool.
Second-half goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Mikel Merino – who was later sent off – saw the Gunners fight back from a 2-0 deficit to claim a share of the spoils against their former title rivals in the Premier League on Sunday, with the champions having earlier looked to be cruising after efforts from Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz.
Arteta admitted he was “really, really upset” and added: “We had a reaction but I hate reaction, I like action.”
