Manchester United: Ruben Amorim addresses Bruno Fernandes transfer talk after '£1m-a-week wages bid'
Ruben Amorim has addressed reports that Bruno Fernandes has been the subject of a record transfer bid from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal.
It has been claimed that Fernandes has been aware of interest from Saudi Pro League clubs for some time, and now Al-Hilal are ready to test the waters with a fee well in excess of £115million. Al-Hilal hope to reunite Fernandes with Portugal team-mates Joao Cancelo and Ruben Neves.
Asked about the transfer rumours on Wednesday, Amorim was not surprised. He told reporters: “It is easy to understand [the transfer speculation], not just because of the numbers but the way he plays.
