'London 2, Manchester 0': Sadiq Khan taunts rival city as he revels in Crystal Palace and Spurs cup wins
London mayor Sadiq Khan took a swipe at Manchester as he congratulated Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur on their cup-winning success.
Sir Sadiq said Palace’s FA Cup victory over Manchester City last weekend, and Spurs’ victory over Manchester United in the Europa League final on Wednesday night, meant it was “London 2-0 Manchester.”
Sir Sadiq, speaking at Mayor’s Question Time at City Hall, said: “There is only one place to start and that is by celebrating the triumphs of two of London’s football clubs – Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur.
