Fenny fall as champions show ‘Worth in defence
The Anthony Axford North West Cricket League Conference Premiership was back underway with all home teams gaining victory in match week 1, write Ray Taylor and Coby Donnelly.
Last season’s champions, Farnworth claimed victory at Bridgeman Park as they hosted Feniscowles 1sts. The hosts batted first and scored 225-8 with Aaqib Javed top-scoring with 46. In reply, Feniscowles was dismissed for 127 despite the top scorer, Marc Brennan, reaching 50 as Farnworth’s Sajid Mahmood took 4-21.
