F1 LIVE: Max Verstappen boosted in FIA row as Lewis Hamilton names ‘favourite’ driver
The excitement is building ahead of this weekend’s Miami Grand Prix as Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri and Max Verstappen prepare to resume their title fight. All three drivers have established themselves as early contenders with Piastri leading the way as things stand. His victory in Saudi Arabia a fortnight ago saw him move 10 points clear of Norris and 12 ahead of Verstappen.
It means there is all to play for in Miami with the sprint format offering drivers the chance to win extra points. The likes of Ferrari and Mercedes will also be hoping to battle for victory and pull themselves into world title contention. Lewis Hamilton won the last sprint in China and could breathe new life into his stuttering campaign with a similar display this weekend.
