Explained: Why Red Bull boss Christian Horner faces risk of being sacked

Red Bull boss Christian Horner may get sacked by this weekend’s Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. As per reports, Red Bull are no longer interested in continuing with Horner due to the ongoing struggles of their Formula 1 team in the 2025 season.

Red Bull have only won one out of the five races so far. Max Verstappen clinched the only win in Japan, but his team is already 141 points behind leaders McLaren in the constructors’ standings.

According to oe24, there’s panic at Red Bull who want Horner out and him being replaced by former Alpine boss Oliver Oakes and Franz Tost, who is a former team principal of Scuderia AlphaTauri (now Racing Bulls).
