Dwyer’s double sees Atherton Colls end campaign on a high
Atherton Collieries put in a scintillating first-half shift to lower Witton colours for a first time ever in league play which ensured a rousing finish to their NPL West campaign as they won 3-1.
It took a mere four minutes for Colls to take the lead. Will Riding put in a tantalising corner to the far post and veteran centre-half Tom Bentham shrugged off his marker to head home.
