Crystal Palace win FA Cup with fans in tears over club’s first trophy in 164 years

The red and blue half of Wembley exploded in joy and disbelief as Crystal Palace beat Manchester City to win the FA Cup and lift the club’s first major trophy in 164 years on Saturday night. There were incredible scenes among the south London club’s players and fans after full-time as Oliver Glasner’s side made history with a 1-0 win against City courtesy of Eberechi Eze’s goal.

Eze’s side-footed finish from a Daniel Munoz cross in the 16th minute sent the Palace end into raptures and ultimately delivered glory for the Eagles. Dean Henderson was equally as crucial under the iconic Wembley arch. He saved an Omar Marmoush penalty and certified himself as a Palace legend by denying Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku and Claudio Echeverri, among others, in a superb performance.
