Defender expected to miss the rest of the season with hamstring problem
Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana will miss the rest of the season after having surgery on a hamstring injury.
Fofana, 24, only returned to action in early March after more than three months out with a similar problem, but suffered a fresh setback this week and went under the knife on Saturday.
“The 24-year-old will now begin his recovery and undergo rehabilitation with the club’s medical staff at Cobham over the coming weeks.”
