Manchester United travel to Bilbao tonight for the Europa League semi-final first leg, where they will face Basque powerhouse Athletic Club. Ruben Amorim’s side will look to stop a challenging run of form, their only win since mid-March being the dramatic extra-time win over Lyon in the quarter-finals.

Athletic Club, though, have just one loss in the same period, a 1-0 away defeat at Real Madrid in late April. Unlike United, who are reliant on the Europa League to qualify for next year’s Champions League, Athletic Club currently sit fourth in La Liga, comfortably within the qualification places. They will not be short on motivation, though, as they push for a first European trophy.
