Aston Villa have won the FA Youth Cup for the fifth time in their history after a 3-1 victory over Manchester City at Villa Park.
In front of over 25,000 supporters, Jimmy Shan’s U18’s came from behind to secure a memorable victory and ensure Villa lifted the trophy for the second time in the space of four years.
It took just two minutes for the first goal to arrive. Matty Warhurst struck to put the visitors ahead as he slid the ball under Sam Proctor after Villa has lost possession fairly cheaply in their own half.
